What do you think of the team so far? I am under no illusions that we will compete for SEC or even a tourney bid. But like with football, I do hope to see well coached team that plays hard to the buzzer and show signs of progress and growth as season progresses. With that in perspective do you think we have enough for an enjoyable season.

I think they have a shot at finishing .500 in the SEC. They are continually improving. A Big Dance ticket will be a challenge, but not totally improbable.

KJ and Adam Miller are very solid, understated players. I could see both in the NBA. Juice is a solid PG. Cam and Hannibal are solid guys off the bench. Wilkinson is an average wing. He gives you minutes and plays decent defense but never seems to be much of an offensive threat. Fountain is a 6'9" big who's given minutes off the bench but I don't know how much we can expect from him.

To go places I think we need Reed and Ward to take off. They are our two talented FR but they haven't put it together yet. I'm optimistic.

Williams-Miller-Hill are solid players

The other two starters + The bench has given you next to nothing offensively. The big men are relatively soft & just completely disappear in games physically,

So far, the team has graded poorly in offensive efficiency, rebounding, and ast/TO.

3pt shooting has been decent & I’ll guess that is what they kind of build out on.

The freshmen class has been disappointing & brought along slowly. But they desperately need Reed & Ward to play well if there is any shot at relevant March basketball

They have definitely improved since game one which is nice to see. The defense has shown that it can be really good, but communication breakdowns and guys picking up help side too slow continue to be an issue allowing for open baskets. If the defense continues to improve, it will keep us in a lot of games. Offensively, we are pretty solid from 3 but imo poor shot selection and not being strong with the ball in the paint are some of the biggest problems. Mcmahons offense relies on very quick, sharp passes with a lot of offball movement, so you can expect some turnovers on errant passes that were made too quick, off target, etc (his teams historically put up about 11 on average a game). Free throws have been a struggle in a few games now and improving there will be a huge bonus bc the team has shown the ability to get to the line (I know the call last night was bullshite, but had we shot better than 50% from the line, the tards in stripes wouldn't have had the ability to frick it up for us). With all that being said, I think 10 wins in the SEC and an NIT bid should be the expected floor for us with as tough as the SEC is this year but CMM has shown that he will get this team better every game which is very promising!

TLDR: Team is getting better, still has issues. Defense will keep us in a lot of games. 10 SEC wins and an NIT is the floor, but in the meantime enjoy the ride!

I like what I see. KJ Williams is certified stud. Miller is playmaker. Juice Williams is a solid PG and seems to be the vocal team leader. Hannibal will be kind of a boom or bust type player. He will wow you on one possession and then make a silly turnover the next. My main issue I see now is turnovers and the need for someone to spell KJ. Definitely need a little more out of our other post players. I like what I saw out of Jalen Reed last night. I’ve got to think we’ll only improve in those areas. Like others have said, I think we’ll probably end up around .500 in the SEC with a tourney birth not at all out of realm of possibility. The strength of the SEC will be a bit of a blessing and curse in that sense. Love how the teams defends. The players play very hard which I think anyone can appreciate

I see a team that is learning to play with each other. We will be better in Feb then we are now. Most likely a middle of the road SEC team and bubble tournament team.

Yeah this is unfortunate to say the least. I haven’t watched much of UK but Arkansas is legit, even without Smith. Anthony Black is going to be a star.

I’m liking what I see but at times they play out of control..last night was their 1st real test at playing an experienced team in Kansas State but pressure seem to have gotten to them..for blowing their lead in the 2nd half and still fighting back was a great sign of things to come.. and getting fricked by the refs at the end was bad also.. I’ll give them credit for the hustle, they never gave up or slowed down..that was an awesome 4.7 seconds play called at the end of the game..good seeing alot of guys playing.. it’s a good start to building another great BB team…

They have progressed well, still don't know how good they can be. Like LE said I thought ward and reed would contribute more than they are, so that's been disappointing but they still have plenty of time to become contributors.

I didn't get to watch the flohoops games but it seems like they put together 1 good half in each game, which gives me hope they can figure it out for 30 minutes then to 40 minutes.

They are gonna have to make threes to win games tho, they don't really have guys that can win many one on one matchups.

Ward coming in as a 5-star and giving basically nothing. I mean nothing is pretty shocking and disappointing. Reed has all the talent but definitely seems like he doesn’t want to be the physical guy we need him to be

Because it's CLEARLY the second most important sport in college athletics.

Statistically (that is a key word so pay attention) NOBODY watches any of the other sports. If LSU won a men's title, or hell, even made another Final 4 it would be a HUGE feather in our cap.

Not many people can tell you who won the title in college baseball or lesbian basketball last year. March Madness is huge in the public eye.

That's why.

Think John Brady coached defensive team with slightly better offense. Thats the way they seem to me.
