We might have dodged a bullet last week

With Jefferson playing that Arkansas team looked like a completely different team offensively during their domination of Ole Miss, making me wonder we might have lost to them had he been healthy a week ago.

Nevermind Jefferson. We dodged a bullet when they started the running QB instead of the guy who could actually complete a pass.

Agree. I think we would have played differently but still, Arkansas looked good.

LSU prepared for Jefferson which is why those zone reads didn’t work.

All I was thinking is how in the frick did Arky lose to Liberty? College football is nuts

Pfff…..Perkins would’ve been all over Jefferson. Same outcome.

Jefferson was hurt and played like crap. He probably would've played like that against us too since he was still hurt.

Arkansas also once again benefitted from a team coming off a Bama game.
While LSU won, the physicality and the emotions of the game impacted us, Ole Miss had the same, except they lost. Throw in the rumors about their coach, not surprised that happened.

Yep, you understand the reality of it is not always who you play, but who you play, when you play and where you play a team on your schedule.
Arkansas got LSU and Ole Miss, both after Bama, and in perfect spots. LSU at 11 AM in a just snow/ice cleared field and Ole Miss at 6:30 in a Night game in temps that looked like they were in the 20's.
Ole Miss emptied their gas tank last week vs. Bama. LSU did the same vs. Bama the week before, but is still good enough to deal with that spot better than Ole Miss is/was.

Do you remember what Daniels did vs Ole Miss? Jefferson had pedestrian numbers. The real thing was the Ole Miss wasn't able to stop their running game.
LSU has made all these top flight run games look pedestrian week after week and outside of that 80 yard QB run Richardson had during the Florida game, we've held every opponent, the last 5 games to WAY below their season averages.
Perkins would have sadly knocked Jefferson out of the game considering his shoulder was one of his problems.

LSU played very conservatively on offense last week after the two turnovers because they realized Arky wasn’t going to be able to sustain drives on the defense. If Jefferson is playing I’d imagine the offensive approach would have been different

No we didn’t.
We saw HPJ40 play out of his mind.
