You have to put on the game tape from 2004 when UGA put up 45 against us. They were constantly beating our man coverage with quick throws over the top. Can Lee do it? Who knows but we won't be able to run consistently on Bama's defense. Lee has to recognize where the blitz is coming from and exploit it.

UGA had an experienced QB as a SR. in David Greene. That's the key difference.

yeah you're right. David Greene was a factor in that.

Saban's defense could always be beaten with the dink and dunk passes to TEs and RBs. Since Lee has no business throwing the ball down field too often I say we wear them out with Dickson, Murphy and Keiland.

I agree with this. When Saban was @ LSU the tight end and back out of the backfield were killers. We do have to remember, however, those were actually Muschamp defenses.

Remember that play that Florida and Ole Miss was killing us with back in 03. The one where the tight end fakes a block, then releases down the middle uncovered. Maybe Miles will look to that and Dickson will have a huge day.

I dont think he can do that right now on a consistant basis. He is too green.

He will learn in time but I doubt by Sat.

I agree with this. A formation of Lee in the shotgun with Keiland or Murhpy on one side and Scott on the other would work great I think. Could block (Saban's blitzes), run, or pass out of it. I just remember that UGA RB running down the middle of the field in the SECCG (thank goodness he dropped it). UF had success with the RB out of the backfield as well.

You guys are right. the definate weakness is the back out the back field over the middle of the field. I still remember the sigh of relief when the Ga rb dropped the pass in the SECCG, would have changed the game. Also Fla released into the middle that year on us too.

KW and CS in the backfield, split back type formation would be AWESOME.

I sort of like the wild tiger formation we introduced on Sat. with JL split out wide with Keiland and Murphy in the backfield, with Murphy taking the snap. Kinda makes you think huh. Brings back memories of last years game against Ar-Kansas. I think the mad hatter has a little something up his sleeve on Sat. for the Gumps.

Beating Saban's defense isnt gonna be the problem, the problem is OUR DEFENSE stoping Saban's offense.

See 2003 vs UF. RBs and TEs over the middle and in the flats are the keys to beating Sabans Defense.

Hopefully Dickson will be 100% because he needs to have a big game.

Please God don't let JL throw anywhere near, around or "in" the flats.

That and maybe run some running back release plays, where the back sits in the backfield for a couple of counts before releasing over the middle. That killed us against Fla in 2003.
