Here's a little something I put together, feel free to add to it. Yes, I realized some if not many will slam my efforts...so be it.

Tiger Stadium aka Death Valley
1924 – (Sometime between 2003 and 2007)

Tiger Stadium endured a slow and painful death sometime between its beloved Tigers winning two BCS National Titles. Although no one is certain the exact time of death, the causes are indisputable.

It began when LSU became among the elite and bandwagon fans came in without warning, crushing the faithful with their loads of money and lack of class. They sat on their hands, booed imperfection, and departed before the end of the 3rd quarter; in essence, their spreading of Type I Stifleitis stole the spirit of the stadium with their presence and subsequent absence.

Let it be known, they did not accomplish this feat on their own. Type II Stifleitis played a big role in the death of Tiger Stadium. The Tiger Athletic Foundation now determine a fan’s worth, the Golden Band from Tigerland are forbidden to play traditional songs and fans can now only stand at “appropriate” times. Now, they’re stomping on the stadium’s grave by piping in music to mask the symptoms of Type I Stifleitis.

Many diehard, blue-collar fans who can’t believe this day has come mourn this icon; they find it hard to fathom this stadium survived the Years of Unspeakable Darkness but could not survive these dreadful diseases . They pray for a miracle; that somehow the spirits of old will aid in resurrecting this giant. Until that wonderful day arrives, the faithful will continue to support their beloved team from all corners of the globe and bitch at those who killed it.

It's really sad. I would love to be able to go back, but I can't afford the price people are asking for tickets.

I just watch the game from outside the Stadium now. #1 I cant afford tickets anymore, and I can do and say what ever I want and not worry about being ejected for being a Fan. I wonder how long untill our new Pres/Ath director puts an end to that.

For what it's worth, Tiger Stadium is still more authentic than most stadiums in the country. Went to Notre Dame earlier and they have a high school scoreboard, but are proud to have stayed in the past. Every other place from Wisconsin, Auburn, Florida and some pro stadiums already have the new scoreboard three times the size of ours. It's pathetic, but the money it attracts helps make us competitive. College football is what the NFL was 10-20 years ago.

Tulane proved once again why student tickets are diminished each year.

LSU sold its soul for the MNC.

The piped in music was the offical time of death if you ask me.

Unfortunately, TAF has to pay the coach 3.7+ million.

The last time TS had good fans in it was 2003. Saban was making around 1.6 at that time.

Nice post, I was thinking the same thing after the too lame game and then watching the UCF crowd. They aren't the rage so the real fans are in the game helping the team.

Assholes are getting tickets cause it's the thing to do not because they are big fans. They aren't interested in cheering or getting involved.

Meanwhile avid fans are on the outside looking in, unable to provide the 12th man as in the past.

Unfortunately, I wasn't, but I heard about it. Good point...edit or add to as you see fit.

I keep hearing people complain about piped in music. Was this for the Tulane game? I skipped it and didn't notice it for the Georgia game. What were they piping in and at what points during the game??

I'll give you a little newsflash...the only REAL booing that was heard on Saturday was when Lee came back in after having thrown his 5th pick six of the season with about 6 minutes left in the game.

So...which is it? There were only about 20,000 or so fans left in the stadium by that point. Just who WERE those 20,000? You just stated that the new big bad bandwagoners are the ones that boo...but you also said they leave in the 3rd quarter.

Huh...
