I remember seeing his films at the Bayou Bash and thinking that guy is going to be great.

Sure he's had some tough spots as all freshman do.

But, he will lead LSU to another MNC and he will play on Sunday.

Rohan Davey, Matt Mauck, Jamarcus Russell, Matt Flynn, and now Jarrett Lee.

As a tiger fan I feel fortunate to have this guy on our side.

Look for a breakout game against the Nictator.

I agree. We've had worse records with better QB's, but JL, if he stays healthy will set records.

He's well on his way to setting the single season pick-six record this year.

Relax ya'll. Give him time. He has the right toold to build off of. He just needs to refine his technique a little bit. How many QB's, particularly in the SEC, have had perfect seasons as freshmen?

He's a freshman quarterback. The same freshman quarterback that:

-Won the Auburn Game

-Put 7 on the board w/ 45 seconds on the clock in 2nd quarter at Gainesville, then led a scoring drive on the first possession of 2nd half to make it a 20-14 game. We could not stop Tebow on 3rd and 3 when everybody on the planet new he was going to carry the ball. I was there. The stadium was dead quiet after the score was 20-14.

He is way too consistently bad in games to predict how he will develope. I could see him being very good, but he has not shown anything but a strong arm.

I disagree. He has shown huge potential. He is learning under fire. If you've never done that, you don't understand.

He's also the same QB who's regressed since then and displayed awful field vision and a lot of frickups against Tulane. I wasn't too hard on him for the Florida and Georgia games but against Tulane his struggles were amplified.

Yeah, neither Mauck, Rohan, Russell, nor Flynn had bad games as Juniors and Seniors. May as well rescind his scholarship.

he the same qb that is 19 yrs old. he had to listen to a bunch of ungrateful bastards boo him in his own house last night. first year starter who has done some good things besides doing typical freshmen mistakes. you and most everyone else have no idea how hard it is to play qb at this level in this conference. give him a chance before you judge him.

What does that have to do with arm strength?

He did well @ South Carolina, the toughest SEC D (at least at the time).

I was excited to see him play as well, but if he continues to play the way he has, he won't get too many more shots at it next year with JJ, RS, and CG sitting in the wings. 8 games is an awfully long time to wait for a breakout game, i guess if we could chose a game for him to have one this would be it.

Agreed. This kid sucks. He is NOT the future and if we don't recruit a QB or if one of the other guys doesn't step up, we are doomed. It's just the truth. Who cares if he won the Auburn game? Who hasn't beat Auburn this year.
