I watched the Bulls Celtics game the other night and they were given him 12 footers all day. He couldn't even come close. I think at one point he was 1-17. On the season he is 2 for 22. Couldn't even hit a wide open free throw.

There are plenty of centers who are worse off, and that guy from Golden State, Biedriens(sp?).

I just don't understand how you can play your whole life and not be able to hit a 10 footer

he did shoot up in size

i can't imagine what it's like to be a 6-8 guy with 6-8 size hands trying to shoot a basketball

I remember a whole bunch of posters here saying he did have a jump shot, but Brady wouldn't let him shoot it.

Yea.

he'll either get a jump shot or get traded/not resigned. its a win win for all parties.

well that's strange, his last season at LSU he made those on a consistent basis, must have been on the pine too long

Thomas just had a very bad game against the Celtics. He even missed a wide open bucket right around the rim. He's got a decent shot, and he's definitely not the worse.

Are you sure you're not thinking of Ronald Dupree?

Do the Milwaukee Bucks not play in the NBA anymore? I'm pretty sure TT went 5/10 against them to start off the season. He is 7/32 on the season and 15/20 from the free throw line. He missed all five shots today but had five blocks including one where he stuffed OJ Mayo big time. It's only been three games. In his first two years he shot .475% and .423% from the field. His free throw percentage also went up from .606% in season 1 to .741% last year. If you include his poor shooting start this season, he shoots .434%.

What's strange is that I dont ever remember him hitting jump shots at LSU CONSISTENTLY.

I will try not to get on my basketball soapbox, but this is a perfect example of why the NBA sucks. Their isn't anything hard about shooting when you have large hands. If he would practice shooting then he wouldn't have a problem. But I don't really place the full blame on him, he has probably been coached all his life that it's better to drive and dunk than to learn how to shoot.
