Grand Cherokee - plenty of space and a great ride

Nice car that I would never buy. Grand Cherokees have a terrible reputation for maintenance issues.

Stick to the Japanese cars, especially if you're buying used.

I had 2 and must have been lucky. I never had any issues.

<——Bought a ‘14 GC new, put 265k miles on it over 6 years.

Replaced the alternator (and it was paid for under a recall)

Presently in ‘20 Grand Cherokee with 105k miles on it.

Zero maintenance issues so far.

I’ve not heard of anyone in my work or personal life with this iteration of GCs that have echoed your sentiment.

Wife had a 2020 Grand Cherokee that was in the shop constantly over 3 years for an issue that multiple Dealerships proved unable to fix. Traded it in just before warranty expired for an Acura MDX. Will never buy a jeep again, but that is just my experience.

I am a big Subaru fan and would go with the Ascent from your list of options.
