Is this potential Diesel Fuel Shortage Real?

I have seen several reports that there could be a very serious Diesel Fuel Shortage coming by the end of the month. Is anyone else seeing these reports tucked at the bottom of news feeds?
This is serious crap if true!

It's an absolute farking lie. Having 23 or 25 days of inventory doesn't mean anyone is running out. Diesel is being produced every day. What it means is if not a single drop is produced, we have a 23 or whatever day supply. It DOES NOT MEAN that we are running out of diesel.

Only problem w historic data is not accounting for the current variables with Biden agenda reducing and pissing off opec. It’s one thing to ignore the cartel, but more of a problem when you don’t have a solution.

Could get real real fast just in time for the mid term elections....No trucks + no gas deliveries to stations, food stores, everything that makes our country work. Would be interesting.

This is correct.
Unlike the SFR, which is being drawn down and not replenished, this is the inventory should all production of diesel stop at this moment (which is not happening).
Still, the inventory is well below the norm, which should be concerning.

That chart is very useful. Note that the high spikes in the chart correspond with three recent events, the housing market collapse in 2009, the stock market crash in 2015-2016 and the Covid shutdown. The chart is inverse to what's going on. High points are bad and low points indicate increases in economic activity.

This would suck as I just bought my first diesel vehicle. Might have to start that fuel expansion tank project much earlier than expected.
