Nope. Brazil is plainly a second world country, and it’s closer to first world than to third. Now, give the socialists a few innings and they’ll put them back in the third.

We could do it here if we didn't have 50 different sets of rules on how to vote.

Imagine the amount of meltdown on this forum if the federal government suggested implementing electronic voting nationwide.

The muh stolen election tinfoils would be losing their shite. :)

bullshite. Each state counts their own; it’s not as if the folks who know Alabama’s rules are shipped out to Oregon to do their count. There’s no legitimate reason for the clown crap we see, and somehow it’s always metro areas with the most “issues”.

with fair enough reason I am studying to be an IT professional and trust me this isn't the type of thing you just want to lean on a computer or computer network to figure out for you.

I've been in IT for 20 years. There are certain things that can be done to protect the systems, but the most obvious being the simplest. All electronic systems should have a paper ballot printout to be tabulated. You can easily spot check batches to ensure accuracy.

There is no reason to trust electronically generated ballots. People filling out ballots makes fraud more difficult, especially when those people are real and have presented an ID.

One would think that the voters would learn from fellow SA Venezuela. Actually, I think they have, but so have the election riggers.

There is Zero way that Lula won legitimately. Do they use Dominion?

This makes no sense.

Brazil is by definition a third world country and always has been since the term was first coined.

But not compiled into a proprietary QR code to be read by the tabulator. The tabulator should use opensource OCR software. Period. Close stop.

Also, the software on all machines should be mirrored - uncompiled and compiled - to a read only public cloud location and time stamped with any updates.

It could be made secure and 100% un-cheatable (that tosses out Dominion and other current election "voting" systems). Put that Bar Code guy on it. Pulitzer?

About the only way to do that is to get rid of the anonymous vote. Frankly I’m beginning to think it’s worth the trade-off at this point.

Are you suggesting the 19 or so votes that Vince dooley will make for Stacey abrahms next week shouldn't count because he won't be there in person?

Huh? Electronically generated ballots literally print out who you voted for.

Unless you're fricking retarded or illiterate you can validate it with your own two eyes

Poking a ballot with a pencil or filling in circles with a number 2 pencil is even less secure since someone can spoil your ballot by poking it or filling in a circle and causing an overvote.

There are 50 states, which means there are 50 different rules on how people can vote, when people can vote, when votes can be counted.

Did you know in some states they can't legally count absentee ballots until the polls close and in the case of Maryland the Thursday after the election?

The rules for federal elections should be all the same and should be amended to the constitution

And they can be generated by the box full.

Why would they do that?

Many countries hand count ballots have have results same day. We could do that here, but then cheating becomes more arduous, so that's not good for your ilk
