Completely disagree. A good fitting pair of cowboy boots are some of the most comfortable things you can put on your feet.

This is just a lie you tell yourself.
I wear suits 200 days a year, the top button on the shirt is always buttoned and my tie is always snug. I am used to it and perfectly "comfortable" wearing them but when I get home and change into shorts and a T-shirt there is zero point in me trying to convince myself the suit is just as comfortable.

Absolutely. The problem is that people don't account for width well enough. Most boots are cut narrow to standard width. But a good pair of EE boots becomes really comfortable after about a month of regular wear.
