I have to think we'll be in the #15 or #16 range of the first CFP rankings that come out the week of the Bama game.
Tennessee will likely be #1 in that ranking, so I guess that helps us in a way despite the fact that they blew us out.

It probably has something to do with the voters think ole miss was overrated. That’s why an unranked team was favored against a top 10 team.

Maybe early in the season, but an improved ranking will only help us land a better bowl game and then there's the point that we still do actually control our own destiny to the SEC Championship game!
