I'm still amazed at the people that eat shitty fast food when a small business local option is available.
I was at a great sandwich shop yesterday and no one was in it, yet the burger King in the same area had quite a few customers.
I had a much better quick meal, probably a better price too.

I agree with you, but the same can be said for drinking bud/coors/miller light.
People are largely creatures of habit and love consistency.

Typically have to search for these local favorites versus chains…well, marketing works.

Think about the amount of people passing through an area that don't live in that vicinity.
They don't have time to search Top 10 restaurants between Oak and Pine Street.
That's how chain marketing and brand recognition works.
