Need some work done on a 7.3. Really trying to stay away from $tealerships. A few leaks, and an ignition code. What you got?

I live in Mandeville, and I'd like to find a solid, reliable mech for my 7.3 as well.

YouTube. Hiring a mechanic for minor shite negates the reason to own old junky trucks.

Hi-Tech in new Iberia. They do a lot of work for oilfield hot shot trucks and do it well. It’s a small family run outfit.

Actually posting for a friend of mine who isn’t interested in doing it himself.

10-4. Tel him if he has the turbo off might as well do up pipes: either new gaskets or replace with bellowed up pipes, which are high as gp.

Diesel Avenue in Baton Rouge just did a bunch of work on my 6.0. I had a good experience with them. Like everyone else they’re swamped and will likely take a couple weeks to get to it.

Danny’s automotive HWY 59 in Abita, might be a Mandeville address. Right by the curve where the trace now goes under the road.

Finch does good work in my experience but you have to be ready to be without your truck for a HOT MINUTE.

Ryan @ Autotherapy Off shortcut hwy in Slidell is good, I think they’re called RNS now.

I will NEVER recommend finch in loranger.

Like you referenced. I was without my truck for almost 4 months. Everyone I talked to says the same. I can’t believe that place is still in business.

The range sensor went out on the trans of my dmax, they had it for a few weeks trying to find an OEM part for it, they don’t install aftermarkets. They don’t make it anymore so it was a mess to find. I finally had to talk them into installing a dorman part so I could get back on the road. They didn’t want to charge me, but I paid him anyway, they did a lot to help me, but they’re so busy. I think he either needs to expand or stop taking new business.

I’ve used Holley Automotive to fix problems with my 6.7 that Banner and Supreme couldn’t get correct. Owner is a great guy.

I just bought my first diesel, ‘99 350. Plan on trying to learn and do most work myself.
But would be nice to have solid mechanic when in a bind.
