Tennessee fans in TS

I was in section 402 almost in the middle of the vol fans
20 years ago they were totally obnoxious
For this game they seemed humbled due to their past 15 years of failure and were very friendly
We are currently going through our version of menopause but will return soon to what we expect in winning ways and playing for championships
Appreciate the success we had for 20 great years excluding the past 2 years
We WILL be back!!!
Have patience
We don’t want to become Nebraska Florida Florida State or Tennessee and take years to come back

They were very friendly, but there’s very little shite they weren’t entitled to talk after that game if they had wanted to

They were the better team on Saturday and deserved to win. That said, it doesn't entitle them to talk a lot of shite. They haven't been relevant nationally in over 20 years. Their most recent SEC title was in 1998. Since then, LSU has won the SEC 5 times, played for 4 national championships, and won 3 of them.

Most of them were great, we did have one say that they were better than the 2019 team and their baseball program was better. I laughed at him and said you should visit our championship plaza at both our baseball and football stadiums

I was in section 210 Row 1. There was an older Vol fan in the handicap area infront of me trying to take some pics with his phone and you could see his hands shaking badly. I asked him if I could take some pics for him. He was delighted. Came back right at kickoff and he had 2 beers for me and my friend.
The 3-4 guys behind me were all engaged, nice and very complimentary of the stadium and felt like Kelly was a good hire and said give him time.
Overall I enjoyed their company. First tenn game I attended since Rohan hit royal in OT.

I've never had a problem with UT fans in TS or in Knoxville. I always thought they were a cool fan base.

When Tennessee is good they are one of the best traveling fan bases you will find in the nation.

As is the case with most SEC fans, those here on the Rant are not indicative of the fans encountered face to face in stadiums. Here we get all the arseholes but with a stadium the size of SEC stadiums, it would be almost impossible to have it populated by 100,000 arseholes. With the exception of Black Bear fans: their hate runs too deep, for too long.

I had quite a few good experiences with some of the Vol fans. Told a couple of guys that I kinda hate them right now but will love them next week if the whip Bama's backside.

I thought in terms of numbers it was the same as Georgia in 2018. And they did sing Rocky Top twice that I heard, but who can blame them?
I had to leave along the East side of the stadium because my ailing UT father needed places to stop and rest on our walk back. I never go that way after a loss because I don’t want to listen to the taunts from their fans. There were tons of them there, waiting for the team, and I didn’t hear a word or see so much as a smirk. They were all nice and just happy they won. It’s been a long and painful road for UT fans.

Had one guy that kept screaming at the top of his lungs and from the bowels of his stomach “RYAN, WHAT ARE YOU DOING RYAN” after every good play TN had, which was often. Had no clue wtf that meant and ended up moving a couple rows over since it was so obnoxious.

We had a lot of TN fans by us. Very nice. Wishing us the best (they know we need it). Of course it’s fun to be in a visitor’s stadium and leading the whole way. He’ll I think I might know all the words to Rocky Top now.
