Does anyone think we could potentially see a couple packages with Kayshon at HB? I feel like using him as a receiving threat from the backfield and maybe mixing some read option and RPOs with him at HB would be a good way to get him involved this Saturday.

Has there been any indication that this will be a thing? Did I miss something?

I wouldn’t mind anything if it puts the ball in his hands.

Over / Under 8 touches for Kayshon on Saturday?

Seems like every time we try to do that, a penalty gets called for holding, illegal formation, chop block etc

No, just a thought. The dude could be an Alvin Kamara type threat in the passing game. I’m just wondering if that’s something we could potentially see Saturday.

Yea, I think those were jet sweeps with Kayshon lined up wide. I’m talking about putting him at HB, getting him in the flat, seams, wheel routes, screens, and some read options and RPOs.

If it gets the ball in his hands, I’m for it.

I actually like the idea, we need to find ways to get our stars the back and this is one way to do it. You see the wide back in the nfl getting used and it works.

I wouldn't mind lining him up in the backfield and throwing it to him on option routes or wheels. It's hard to double him coming out of the backfield.

Need to run that old motion pop pass like WVU used to do with Tavon Austin and those guys. Think Peetz called it a few times last year but that team was a mess

Always like finding ways to get the ball in your hands of your best playmakers and letting them make plays. It would appear that this game sets up as a good opportunity for this WR corps to make plays through the air vs on the ground. WR's need to get themselves in the right positions, make the catches and Daniels needs to shift focus from not turning the ball over to making the plays. It's outstanding that he hasn't thrown interceptions but now he needs to have confidence in himself and his team. Be decisive, let it rip. There's a tough task ahead but this could be a game that is the next step in the progression of this team.

They could, I don’t think they will tho. If they want to, he could get plenty more touches than he has been lining up at wr. Screens, hot routes, jet sweeps, etc. I would imagine if just getting the ball in his hands was a priority to the coaches, they would make a better effort while he’s lined up at WR vs going to the extreme of lining him up at RB.

None, whatsoever.
But I'm gonna go back and listen to my dollar that says some type of Reverse for KB is scripted in the first series.

I'd be ecstatic with a push that includes NO DROPS.

I don't know if we would see him used in a traditional RB role, but in the prior offense it wasn't uncommon to see LSU line up WRs at the RB spot. Chase did it quite a bit. Jefferson some. Last year's first TD vs. Alabama was to Brian Thomas who lined up next to Johnson in the backfield on the play.

Yes, Daniels has missed some open receivers and, too many time, just not even looked for them. But I don't think Denbrock's approach has been all that great at dictating matchups getting guys isolated to get the ball to them.

I've lost money betting Kayshon over in every game this season except the one he didn't play.

I can tell you- the kid is getting open. I would put the true vegas o/u at 6.5 touches and I would be the under if made to place a wager.
