It's relateable too. So many places in the south have a Buddy around town involved with sports.

Yep

Really a great show. So many real life
storylines.

I watched a few of this back then but 2006 was a tough year lol and also some other good shows and fell off.

Watching anew now. Thanks for the reminder and suggestions.

Damn thanks for mentioning that. I thought about his accent a bunch at the beginning of the show and no doubt knew he sounded from the south just couldn’t figure out where exactly. Then looked at his wiki and said born in Buffalo so I was blown away and didn’t look further.
Your Georgia comment had me figure out looking a little further not realizing he was raised in Georgia and is actually a BullDog.

Will forever be one of my all time favorites. I do a complete re-watch about once a year.

Do they announce late season 1 that all the people you thought were seniors are now sophomores or save that for season 2 premiere?

That was always a gray area for me. I still don’t completely get the timeline.

Just remember, they're like 14 and 15 year olds in season 1.

Great show. I watched it for the first time about a year ago and couldn’t turn away. I never realized how many people were in it.

Streets and the coach’s daughter were the only characters I really didn’t like at all.

No doubt. Very realistic, and still very loving.

Clear eyes, full hearts

Saw Minka Kelly on the sidewalk in Savannah once.

We were waiting for the light so a group of pedestrians could cross the street. This girl comes walking up perpendicular to my right shoulder, so I turn to look. She had her baseball cap pulled way down over her eyes, but she glanced up and we locked eyes. She knew I knew who she was, and I could tell she didn't want to be recognized.

She turns so she's facing the same direction as the group, right off my shoulder, and she's trying to keep her eyes down. The light finally turns green and we start to cross. I said, "Clear eyes, full hearts..." She didn't answer, just walked away faster.

My wife (pics on onlyfans) gave me the "WTH" look for saying that, so I pointed Minka out as she sped away.

Cool story bro.

Not sure yet I was gonna pop on episode 21 tonight after the TMU ultimatum for his services.
I kinda figured something has to give on who I thought was Seniors and figure show doesn’t last 5 seasons going to college right away so just waiting for those Details.

I am not even embarrassed to say that the theme song was my ringtone up until about a year ago.

As someone mentioned already about the into song it’s already one of my favorite opening intro tune/songs in History of TV IMO.
Netflix asks to skip I’m like nope. Puts me in a good mood. So does the show.

* Old school “Quantum Leap” from Late 80-90’s was my other happy jam into to a show

First 3 seasons are really good. Last 2 are pretty bad imo

Gotta disagree. If anything I’d say season 2 was a little weak, and had the only truly bad storyline in the series. I thought I had read once that season was during the writers strike stuff.

I think it’s impressive what they did with season 4 and 5. It’s hard to introduce new, key characters that gracefully.

Overall one of my favorite shows. Really had it all.

This is also one of the few series where I felt like the ending was perfectly timed and executed well.

I thought it got overly dramatic towards the end which is why I wasn't a fan of the final 2 seasons
