Was Tessitore fighting back tears after Banks’ injury?

He seemed pretty upset. Anytime a player goes down like that it is pretty scary.

I do think he would have been better to talk less and not try to talk all the way through it. Hard to say what any announcer should have done in that situation.

I know people who think he gets a little over the top and blabbery during broadcasts, but I think the dude just loves sports and loves his job. I'm sure he was sincerely upset when Sevyn got hurt.

He’s so over the top with every emotion.

This situation was tough but in general he’s so exhausting.
