As predicted, with Daniels running as much as he's done, NOW, he's hurt.

He can't read defenses. He's a run first QB.

Not knocking Daniels. He has a limited skill set. He tries to do what he does best.

So, when BK says that he needs to coach better, he's right. The LSU running QB experiment ended in Auburn, AL.

He’s barely hurt. He hurt it on a slide. He starts against Tennessee.

A dollar says he gets hurt against the Vols and every other SEC team we face this season.

That's why Nuss needs more game time. We know what we have with Daniels. Nuss will only get better with PT.

JD could do himself a huge favor if he simply used his athleticism to escape pressure, while still looking to unload the ball downfield. He should play exactly how Ashford played for Auburn. Avoid pressure and extra hits and learn to get rid of the ball faster. If the play is not there, throw it away. He loses too many yards on stupid sacks. Sacks where he runs into the pressure.

Nothing negative against him, but I expected this. Hes small and fast and the most attacked player on the field. This is the SEC and it will get worse.
Nowhere to hide.

Both have a problem that exists between their ears. There is no way to predict which one will resolve their issue sooner. Daniels may tuck and run, but is that better than interceptions?

Well Nuss has never started a game and Daniels has 30+ starts. So you tell me who has more room to grow.

Is that what you call that?

I know JD isn't the only QB who has trouble sliding but it always amazes me that some QB's don't master the skill that is equivalent to donning a yellow jersey in the middle of the play.

A kid as skinny as JD should have developed a slide 20 starts ago.

Based in the first 5 games, he won't last the next 5 games....

I love his effort and speed, but he will get pounded rest of season.

I’ll never understand why you guys think Nuss is going to solve all of our problems. We literally win the Arkansas games if O isn’t bullied into starting him over max. He was that bad, he has looked overmatched in every aspect of his PT. He’s still young and needs to be coached up, not get his confidence killed when he struggles. It’s about the future for Nuss if he’s in the plan.

Any coach is not going to bench their qb, when the team is 4-1. Yes, he has his issues. But, teams have to respect the option when he’s out there. Once he left, auburn sold all out on our run game and we stopped averaging 6+ a carry.

Max started the Arkansas game and missed 2 possible TD routes that were open on the first drive.

Maybe.

If that thing swells up, that means he's missing practice. The swelling "locked the knee up" last night. I wouldn't be certain.

What does that have to do with Tenn's pass rush being good and our oline bad?

He isn’t looking to unload the ball though. He’s not looking for open receivers at all. He just does one read then runs
