Or where there are mudslides every spring, forest fires every summer, Tornadoes every spring, Floods every spring, Hurricanes every fall.

Insurance is forced on you because of the risk that is assumed.

Maybe we should go back to individuals taking on risk.

Yes, because all flooding and hurricane damage is caused by being on the fricking coastline. Dumbass.

You can be hundreds of miles inland and still take flooding or hurricane damage if areas start to back flow or if it spins off tornadoes.


Hell, the most deaths in Florida history were caused by a hurricane in the 20s that caused Lake Okeechobee to have massive storm surges.

That lake is roughly 50 miles inland from the ocean, BTW.
