What’s the legal consequence of something else turning up after you verify the government’s list?
I bet if we looked hard enough, we find somewhere in the government past an incident where at the last minute they produced new evidence or records in some case somewhere.

The government would have to show chain of custody as to how they got possession of the item outside of the search warrant to be permitted to use it as evidence against Trump at trial.
That's part of why this process exists. It gives both parties the opportunity to know which documents may be used during the litigation. The government has to give Trump all evidence it thinks it may use at trial via the discovery process.
Trump's not going to be blindsided by some random document
