I know it’s only been two games, but a damn impressive beginning for a freshman in his first couple of career starts. And for bonus points, he could be one of the best open field tacklers on the team.

Very impressed. Young man has that fire every single snap

This is the type of recruiting we need to compete for chips

My metrics also have him in top 15 but I have him #3 in the SEC.
Still pretty spot on tho!

With what’s coming in next year the oline will be absolutely nasty for years to come at this pace

Three years? I see LSU fans still have the Les Miles mentality where everyone worth a lick should go after 3 years.

Have you not seen how many top tackles get drafted in the first round?

And that’s how Kelly builds his teams. The LOS is his first priority, and that’s what it takes to win in the SEC. Blue chip OL are going to be lining up to play for him. They basically already are. This is why he was such a better pick than Riley.

He should be moved to defense. Real talk

It is SO refreshing that LSU can again recruit and sign SEC-quality OL.

It really makes me wonder why it was previously so difficult to do so. I have no idea what they have done differently, but you can already see a difference

Considering they’re playing this year already, idk how you’d expect to keep them longer than the next 3 years…

I'm simply amazed. Him and Campbell.
Now, there's still going to be times when freshmen do freshmen things. They will be got at times.
But to be this solid and the lack of "rookie mistakes" so far is something to behold.
I was scared to death to have freshmen at OT. Watching them so far there's no reason to be scared. That word is too strong. Worried? maybe. "apprehensive at times against the best of the best"- yeah. But then it becomes a challenge, not a fault.
