Help Identifying Metal Tubes

I have no idea what these metal tubes are. I must have saved them for a reason but can no longer remember what they are. They are 20” long and are 1” in diameter, with identical holes on both ends and no markings anywhere.

Are these the inside of roll down windows shades? I swear I've seen something like these before though.

I don’t think so. Don’t think I would have saved those. They seem like they would be a little heavy for that. Not to mention they’re only 20” long.

Are they tubes (hollow) or rods (solid)? The closest thing I could find was a carbide rod with coolant holes.

They are hollow as far as I can tell.

They’re very sturdy, but I wouldn’t say they were heavy. I have a grandfather clock and they’re nowhere near that heavy.

They look like those metal poles on the crappy removable tables that came with my pontoon boat. Who needs a table on a pontoon boat
