In my life time the media said Ford was an idiot, Reagan was a senile idiot, GHWB was a wimp, (a war pilot who whose plane was shot, he finished the mission before he crashed in the ocean) Younger Bush was an idiot, Trump is a jerk, and Desantis is meaner than Trump but hides it better. Please…

Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell stonewalled the MAGA agenda for two years while filing his administration with moles and subverters who actively destroyed his presidency while working in lock step with the media and DNC and you want me to believe they did so purely because he was a poor administrator?

No, he was messing with their power and their money.

It was their cabinet picks, as negotiated when he got the nomination, which fumbled execution and torpedoed his agenda.

It was their congress who failed to pass any meaningful legislation with all three phases of government under their control.

It was an orchestrated takedown by the swamp and the GOPe was in on it from day one.
It is really impossible to engage in a reasoned discussion with this level of martyrdom syndrome.

EVERY administration in history has been staffed with people from all member-groups of the president's party-coalition. The simple fact is that Trump lacked the CONTACTS to staff the administration solely with those who shared all of his views. Hell, we would have ended-up with truck drivers with no governmental experience as under-secretaries of cabinet-level departments, if he had had to find enough of his core supporters for every position.

Perhaps even worse. Since DeSantis is younger they might find 5 HS girls who said DeSantis raped them.

Seeing what these assholes with tons of govt experience are doing to the country, is this a bad idea?

So you deny there is a concerted attack on Trump from the Media and career Politicians?

Even you can't post this obvious bullshite and try to convince folks you mean it.

Just kidding , we know you have TDS and would never admit it.

Not at all.

No question that the media favored his opposition.

As for "politicians," there is an interesting analysis to be done. My take on the matter is that Trump saw himself as "the boss" when he was elected, rather that the nominal leader of a generally-aligned coalition. He expected (and perhaps "demanded") that every Republican in government fall in line with HIS agenda, rather than recognizing that he was only one "player" in the GOP. Given his lack of policy and legislative experience, perhaps not even the most-important such player, other than as a "front man."

Did longtime GOP elected leaders (who had ALSO been re-elected to THEIR positions at the same time) react negatively to that sense of entitlement?

I would have been surprised if they reacted in any other way.

That depends upon the goal.

If the goal was absolute fidelity to the "MAGA Concept," it would have worked wonderfully.

If the goal was actual implementation of even a single element of that agenda, it would have been utterly ineffective.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.

Our current form of governance is insanity.

Perhaps it's time to put inexperienced simpletons in charge, seeing as how the elites are fking the world over.

It figures you would defend a worthless pussy like Paul Ryan.

I have never voted for a Democrat in any race, but I would vote for one over Paul Ryan any day.

Trump failed to effect parts of his agenda and that is on him. You are going to have Republicans of all stripes and persuasions and the idea is to build a coalition by convincing them of the righteous of your cause. Like it or not, these GOP Senators and others are ensconced in their positions so you have to work with them. Its no good feuding with everyone all the time and Trump is literally at war with everyone. I despise McConnell and would love to see him go but you best try and get along with him to effect an agenda as long as he sits in that chair. The ranks are full of Romneys, Collins, Murkowskis, Cassidys, and the like so you have to try and work with them because they don't have to listen to you. Its a lesson Trump still hasn't learned i/m/o.

Anyone going against the deep state won’t be allowed to govern effectively. The way I see it, if you’re not going against them, you’re no better than they are. I want the best fighter and the deep states most hated enemy in the White House. I don’t care how much drama it causes to expose those evil pieces of shite.

The more popular DeSantis gets the more they will make him Trump #2. It doesn't matter who it is. All Republicans are evil in their eyes. It will never stop.

Trump never learned to accept that he was not a CEO with direct power over elected Republicans in the legislature, but rather than he had to lead by persuasion and compromise.

Trump is literally at war with everyone.
And his core supporters see that as a positive. From a cheerleading perspective ... getting the fans excited ..., it may be. From the perspective of trying to formulate an effect strategy for putting points on the board? Less so.

Like Mitch or not, he is an effective legislative leader who GENERALLY moves things in the correct direction.

I don't think he ever will.

He said as hes failed to refute anything I’ve posted.

I’m sorry that reporting verified facts with national sources is hurting your feelings.

Do you want links to Ryan and McConnell talking about Trump or can we at least agree that they hate him?

While every administration is staffed with people from the president elects party, you do realize that Trump was forced to accept Pence and members of his cabinet in return for the support of the GOP leadership?

Do you need links to how every single one of the appointees he agreed to ended up leaking to the media or publicly undermined Trump and his agenda?

McMaster?
Tillerson?
Kelly?
Priebus?
Any of those ringing a bell?
Here is a link to jog your memory
Trump Cabinet Dismissals

I can’t believe you are over here trying to suggest that somehow the benevolent GOPe just tried to help the naive Trump to lead and he bungled it.

But hey, don’t believe me as to what McConnell thinks about Trump, he wrote a book explaining it in his own words:
MSN: McConnell: I’ll never speak to him again

Oh and here is Politico talking about how much Ryan hates Trump:
