Is he still by the road construction signs. I went by there 2 months ago to go to the dump and saw him out there with his clothes hanging from the signs to dry.
This dude mentally out there.
We need to tell him to move along or his stuff will be impounded at the dump.
Guy had a tent, small generator, either an Ac or a fan for his tent.

No - he set up camp by the road construction sign sometime before June 23 but finally started moving again last Saturday. Latest reported sighting was yesterday and he was 1/2 mile north of his old campsite so he making about 150 yards per day

Passed by him at lunch. He's just about to where the diversion canal will go under Hwy 61.

At that rate how long until he reaches Alaska? April 2075?
I remember reading about the pioneers traveling out west and they had to time their travels to be where they intended before winter or they would freeze to death.
This dude has zero chance to make it to Alaska.

Damn, that's almost 500 yards north of yesterday's sighting across from the JESTC entrance (Irene Road)! Run like the wind, Ramone!!!

Just passed Ramone and his heaping pile of shite. My god he has accumulated so much stuff since the first time I passed him. He was changing his hat and resting on an ice chest. Can confirm he’s almost to that bridge. This is such a huge safety hazard at this point, I can’t believe this charade has been allowed to continue for so long.

Can confirm also he is right before the new bridge they built on 61 N (diversion canal project I think)…????????For his safety, seems very dangerous where he is!

People keep stopping and giving him water and food etc. talking to him.
They aren’t helping the situation.
I doubt he will be in W Fel long

Late last week I spotted a DOTD vehicle stopped at his “camp” and two guys were talking to him. I assume they were from DOTD. You think DOTD actually got something accomplished for once and urged him to move along? Something lit a fire under him.

Ramone Ramone
Still in the same place
Alaska bound
It’s not a race
His long procession
With all his possessions
Truly moves
At glacial pace

Maybe so, but it’ll be dangerous for all involved when he’s hauling that shite across the bridge. We were laughing while passing him today - if/when he makes it a few miles up the highway, he will be hitting some dicey looking areas with a lot of foot traffic. His belongings may be picked off by the locals

I passed Ramine last night about 8 and he had set up camp at the north end of the Comite diversion bridge. That must have been a nerve wracking crossing!

I say leave that ole boy alone. He is just out walking the earth. Not sure why he is lugging all that crap with him, but whatever.

He will get hit by a car before he leaves the state. Can't believe it hasn't happened already.

I first saw him in March at the storage unit across from the Waffle House at the S-bend of Jefferson highway near Oschner in Jefferson.
From there he quickly got to airline. Likely a ride. Idk.
He took forever to get to Power Boulevard. After another 2 weeks he made it to St Charles parish. It took him another two weeks it seemed to get to Ormond. Around that point. The sheriff had him moved to the st John parish line. After a couple of days in st John the sheriff there got a box truck and brought him to unincorporated northern EBR parish. Where he decided to live rather than go to Alaska.

That was crazy and also why random mid western and western friends were founded. People couldn't make it to the pass before winter and set up in an area they could homestead and get water.
