Good for Judge Cannon.
She didn’t cow to the Biden Justice Department’s bullying.
And the 11th Circuit isn’t going to reverse her even-keeled, well-reasoned decision.
The Biden DOJ is clearly terrified another federal judge will check its homework.
What are they hiding?

On DOJ's claims about the classified docs: "The Court does not find it appropriate to accept the Government’s conclusions on these important and disputed issues without further review by a neutral third party in an expedited and orderly fashion."

She took all day. Today at midnight was the deadline before the DOJ said they were taking their "we are the DOJ-How dare you" ball and going to the 11th circuit.
It must be good reading she took her time.

Just curious, does anyone know how long it takes to have an appeal assigned to judges and heard once the DOJ appeals. They will obviously push to have it get go quickly. Just curious on a potential timeline.

The probability of getting appealed is almost zero. I don’t believe an interlocutory ruling can be appealed.

That’s a good question. I’ll admit I don’t think the special master should have a say on the classified documents. His attorneys have made no claim in court they are declassified so I know of no reason he could have classified documents the US wants back.
With that being said, the judge clearly feels differently which is her right. If she does though, why should Trump have to pay full boat to have his rights protected. That makes no sense to me either. If a special master is appropriate, then both parties should have to pay I would think.
