Headed to Lafitte for 3 days, haven’t fished there in 2 decades. It was one of the first places I ever fished regularly when I got into coastal fishing and had a much smaller boat.
Used to fish Bayou Perot/Rigolets, The Pen and other canals…..gonna target redfish and will report back on results.

Launched @ Lafitte Harbor around 3pm, ran to Bayou St Dennis then Manilla Village. Only picked u a couple small specks and hard heads. Will give it a shot again tomm am.

I'll be in Nola for a wedding in February. Does anyone have a suggestion for a charter in Lafitte or somewhere close to NOLA. How is fishing that time of year?

Tons of guides in hopedale/shell beach/Delacroix which is about 45 minutes from the French quarter. I have been twice with Charlie Thomason/ bayou charters and had a good time.
