LSU Times of Interest and parking on the south side

Hey all,
Taking my sons to their first LSU game and was wondering if any of you knew when the Band will march down Victory Hill (or any other times of interest) - also would like any recommendations for parking - we're staying off Essen, so anything on the south side of LSU would be preferable (I think). Thanks in advance and

If similar to last week, expect the band to walk down the hill close to 2:45 and the players around 3.

Grass lots around Walk on's are great spots. Better get there before 10am, they could fill up quick.

For the Southern game at 6:30 band came down at 4:15 and players after
MSU is at 5 so you can ballpark it that band/players will likely come down around 2:45 if I had to guess

Where can I park for easiest access to I-10 west after the game? Last time I went to a home game I was forced to take highland east all the way to essen before I could get on I-10. I tried to take Nicholson north towards the I-10 west ramp downtown and I couldn't turn that way. I asked the cop what's the best route to go I-10 west and he just said that he doesn't know but I can't go that way. So basically I had to go the wrong direction until Essen

Just a word of warning, doing this meant I had to pay for my son to go to college at LSU as a result of his total love of LSU football in particular and LSU athletics in general
