shite. I just saw that Doug Stanhope is supposedly doing a show in Huntsville next month. It is on his tour dates website, but it isn't on the venue's calendar. Talk about a conundrum.

I could go see him in Nashville the next night, but I hate Zanies and try not to see shows there.

ETA: Not that it has anything to do with your thread.

Funniest person on the planet with Gillis a close second.

Shane performed in Lafayette about 2 years ago, but hasn't come back to Lousiana since I don't believe.

I had tickets for Tim Dillon in New Orleans this past winter but he cancelled the gig a couple days before the show.

I didn't buy the tickets my brother did...and I don't have anything better to do other than watch the Chargers beat the Chief's.

Save your money and go see Louis CK in New Orleans in January

I would love to. A few years back I went to the Comedy Cellar and Louis CK was sitting with Dan Soder at the restaurant above it. He was practicing his monolog for SNL...I didn't see him perform but they were both sitting right next to me.

If you haven't yet watched this week's Kill Tony with the Protect Our Parks, you should. Shane is hammered and on fire.

Maybe he will tell his The Machine story. That would be great. Might top Garth singing Callin BR in Tiger Stadium

Last time I saw him on tv, he got political. I changed the channel.

I saw him last year. He did the same material. It was funny 4 years ago. It was still funny but I've heard it too many times. He will fade away unless he writes some new stuff.

Saw Stanhope at One Eyed Jacks in New Orleans. Couldn't even tell you how long ago it was probably 2006 or 2007 if I had to guess. A buddy of mine used to be pretty good friends with Doug so we hung out with him after the show and got sloshed. Nice guy.

Not even how he spells his fricking name.

I have seen Bert once and I don't know if I would really call him a stand up comedian in the traditional sense. He is more of a long form story teller?

The only issue is the stories are just sort of...humorous? They are not really that funny. For example one of his stories was just "bert goes to his kid's school auction and buys almost all of the tickets so he wins everything."

A kind of funny story but nothing that you would want to pay money to hear. He just laughs at his own jokes a lot and I guess that convinces others to laugh?

Oh yeah, I watched it the moment it came out (and the Rogan episode they filmed right beforehand)

I hate when Rogan guests on Kill Tony. He just shouts into the mic and doesn't say anything funny. They should just have Shane on as a permanent guest host. He, Mark, and Ari are my favorite Kill Tony guest hosts, along with Tim Dillon. I love how Shane/Mark/Ari balance each other out.

eta: actually Erik Griffin is a pretty awesome guest host too.
