Well we sorta just locked out in 2019 DB wise.

Fulton was still around because of that suspension derailing his career for a bit and we had a super freshmen coming in and both were healthy allost the whole season.

OL has multiple guys who got a ton of snaps as Fr and Soph in 2017 and 2018. We are at the 2017 stage of that.

And RB? Emery was suspended and Bradford quit the team again. That put us down 2 but we’re not THAT thin.

kids these days, most of them at least, need 24/7 attention. when you stop reaching out because you're celebrating the national championship deep into march and april, recruiting passes you by.

Opt outs, transfers, poor development, and complete inability to manage the program by the previous head coach.

We lost 17 starters after 19..SEVENTEEN!

Then a bunch of pussies sat out for draft...which killed leadership
We lost both OC and DC and other key guys.

That's it, period.

Coach O killed morale and leadership. He lost the locker room. Calling Chase, Marshall, etc. “pussies” is low. They are historically great tigers.

Actually we retained our OC. The offense was average before Myles injury. It was Orgeron’s stubbornness and inability to hire a competent DC that caused the drop off. LSU fielded Stingley and Ricks in their secondary and somehow Pelini managed to produce a historically bad pass defense, and rather than make adjustments and actually coach, he threw raging fits like a toddler.

Leadership at the top lost its focus.

I'm an LSU fan and I'm also honest. No coach in America was winning after 17 STARTERS were gone. Qb injured also. And left with max fricking J, who barely was given a uniform at aTm.
Defense lost even more players before last year and a couple were just quitters.
Yes, O was running and it falls on him, but I do see past the easy way out and speak the truth.
I dont buy into "the cupboard was bare" bs. There were some guys that weren't as advertised when we signed them and it showed and they left or quit.

Pump the brakes kid...we only have beaten a glorified hs team at this point. It will get worse
