I’m more of a duck hunter than deer hunter, but I assume the Homochitto is more deer hunting?

I’ve never hunted deer there, but see plenty of sign during turkey season. A friend of mine spends a good bit of time in the forest hunting deer though, and he’s killed quite a few.

It’s a National Forest, not a Park. A National Park is like Yellowstone.

Grew up hunting deer and squirrel there, once I got old enough to hunt where I wanted I started hunting more in the Delta and will probably never step foot in the homochitto ever again, its hard hunting around abunch of yahoo’s who doesnt have any regard for other hunters for sub par hunting

Grew up near there.
Give up on the busy days ie, openers and Saturdays.
Download onx and put your walking boots on. There is some deer there and some beautiful land but if you are the kill or bust type of hunter you might as well go pay a guide.

Really tough hunting. Only the best can be successful there. I shoot a few dinks every year out there.
It's close to my house so I have a "camp" there. The hunting can be really good if you're ok with working for it. Rifle season has a lot of pressure.

It’s beautiful national forrest with obscene ravines. Turkey hunting is solid and would be good if one if the adjacent land owners would quit loading their feeder’s, and spreading corn all over

I am going to go out on a limb and say it is better than Kisatchie.
