re: Views from the flight deck - some cool pics

Frozen elevator in a King Air coming back from TEB late one night. Plane sat on the ramp in the rain for several hours before departure, and water froze the control cables at altitude, though we didn’t realize it until we went to start our decent. Thankfully we were able to start a slow decent using the elevator trim and regained full control as we warmed up at lower altitudes.

It was super smooth for the pax and they were none the wiser, but not being able to push down on the yoke for a bit was unsettling.

Now…I’ve scared myself plenty times in little airplanes, but that’s how you learn
