Was in Winston, or was he a product of a shitty GM. Licht was the GM 2 years before Winston and basically built a team that was good enough to take Winston 1st overall. They continued to struggle until Brady shows up and recruits for them to build a top tier team.

No. Context matters. Tampa didn't just add Brady, they got Fournette, Gronk, Antonio Brown and drafted Wirfs and Winfield all in one offseason. Massive upgrades.
On top of that, the Saints were going to win the division 2017-2019 regardless. Winston's teams were fighting for a wild card spot at best.

They kind of had us in their way. Plus the Panthers had some seriously good seasons too.

His time under Payton and Brees was huge. He saw how GOATS operate and what it takes. Now it’s on him.
