Is it a Maason we hardly knew you? Productive true freshman year.
Misses entire sophomore year.
Plays it safe, playing as little as possible junior year and gets drafted top 2 rounds.

Or

Comes back junior year with something to prove and dominates all year. Leaves after being drafted in 1st round.

He doesn’t seem like the type to sit out. Come back strong for his Junior year and let’s ride

If he wants to make some real money he probably needs to play his arse off as a Jr

NFL wants to see him play a full season. Sitting out is the worst thing he can do. That’s not the type of kid he is anyway.

He might just be one of those athletic freaks who just can’t stay healthy. We’ll have to see next year.

He hasn’t show enough to sit out for a season yet. He will be back next year. Those kind of injuries suck though and can ruin someone

Heart breaks for a great young man and athletic monster.

He will be back.

Life is challenging him. He will persevere.

A guy his size, if that's a complete tear, he will not be back 100% until probably 1/2 to 2/3 of the way into next season. There is a distinct possibility he only plays in 4-6 games next fall and even then, it will be sparingly to ease back into it. 2024 will be his money year.

It should go that he gets the best care possible and is supported by the staff. I'm certain that's the way it will go. Keep him involved. Keep him health. Make sure he has the tools he needs to succeed.

Tackles are looked at very little for his position when it comes to productivity. Hell just the first drive he was easily the most disruptive guy on our Line and was the main reason for the TFL when he eventually got injured. I don’t think it’s that far fetched to say he has first round pick potential.

His career will be eerily similar to Stingley's except we will of seen more actual PT from Stingley IMO. Boutte will fall into the "Stingley" category as well. I think that of the 3, Smith wanted/wants to be on the field with his teammates the most. The other 2 clearly have some "me" issues. Stingley may get a pass by some on attitude but for me it wasn't much better than Boutte's. He was a pouter and that's the worst trait a star can have on team moral.

Yep, he hasn't had one of those OMG seasons where he set or at least approached school or conference records.

We all feel like he could have one of those but if he wants to really help his draft status he need to actually play a full season near that sort of high level.

He doesn’t have enough tape to warrant a top two round draft pick if were to forgo his junior year. ACL surgeries are so advanced now that he should be ready by spring ball.
