Absolutely. Aldean’s music is trite and derivative. Many a musician has altered his or her name, but “Aldean” seems to hide behind a cloak of false authenticity that’s palpably contrived.
The formulaic “sitting on a truck bed, drinking beer, turning up a dirt road, holding my sweet thing, etc.gets tired. Could he not take a note from John Prine, Kristofferson, Steve Young, Hank Sr., Willie and others who wrote sincere lyrics?
I don’t care about his political preferences, but his work product is mindless.

This bullshite makes me laugh b/c it isn't new.
The Day the Music Died is regarded as some huge musical tragedy. But what's comical is everyone of those artists' hits were incredibly elementary and formulaic but catchy. And that's what mattered back then.
Oh and they were all under 3 minutes long.
Funny how we judge current artists.

Fake intellectual. Ok, his music isn't great. So? You probably thought this post would do numbies.
