They LOVE saying "democracy".

I remember during Obama's speeches, he would say it all the time, especially at the end of his time in office.
Biden must have said it over a dozen times in this one speech, then just ended w/ "democracy".
They are programming people to believe that your rights should up to the whims of popular opinion, not that your rights are inalienable and are not to be infringed upon by government.
Unfortunately, their constant beating of that drum has worked brilliantly.

We’re a representative republic, not a democracy.

Americans were a threat to Democracy. After Americans used Democracy to vote in a guy who just wanted to reform the failing system, he was called Hitler. Then impeached twice. Then was such a threat to Democracy he was banned from all social media.
And Democracy still seems more interested in him to this day than the guy who they replaced him with.
And it has become apparent that this Democracy neither improves their lives nor provides them with a political voice to stop their quality of life from degrading

Beyond that, as others have correctly noted, we are a Constitutional Republic. Our rights are fundamentally acknowledged by the Constitution and that over rides all else.
