That we had a coach who had the team unorganized, not bought in, and outta shape. That’s a recipe for disaster. People talk about our depth but we’ve had the same patchwork oline the year we won a championship. I think you just need a solid lineup with two rotational guys and you’ll be fine. We finally have an x ‘s and o’s guy and not a cheerleader who has to call other coaches for advice.

No we didn't. This is one of those ridiculous narratives that will never die. FOUR of the five oline from the 2019 team have, or will, start in the NFL. Not just make a roster - START. And all four were named starters before their rookie season started. These are considered among the best young offensive linemen in the NFL.

Behind those four were Adrian MaGee, Austin Deculus, Chasen Hines, Dare Rosenthal and Cam Wire. You call that patchwork? I say you could take LSU's 2019 offensive line, put them in the NFL, and in five years you'd have an above average NFL line.

Kelly has been been here since November and had spring ball, summer workouts, and fall camp. If high level players take more than 8-9 months to get in shape, that’s a bigger issue.

I meant there were concerns about the oline like every year. Joe Burrow made that line look better than it really was idc how many of those players were drafted go watch the tape.

It’s all about nutrition Liam Shanahan said in an interview that players are out of shape and it was like week 8

A lot of coaches mailed it in after the 19 run

O dumped his wife and was going out every night
Pomansky was supposed to manage the roster, not sure what he was doing, probably O's designated driver
Moffett did not have control because players were out of shape
Ensminger was the only competent coach left, a career journeyman who didn't get near the credit he deserved seeing how Brady's stock has plummeted
Aranda locked himself in a closet to hide

Ensminger was garbage too. Brady's scheme obviously worked in college and with those players. Ensminger never found success in any job that he has ever had, except for the one year with Brady. Failure in the NFL with a terrible team does not mean that you aren't a great college play caller. How did Saban and Meyer do in the pros? Brady and Aranda were the only bright coaches and everything went to shite once they were gone. Yes, Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, and crew were great players, but Brady made them all so much better than the previous year.

Enslinger was the reason we scored 0 pts vs bama in '18 and 46 in '19 (WITH JOE BRADY)

I think the point the OP was making was that the Rantards on here trashed the OL in 2019 all season on this board. After they won the Joe Moore Award posters on here said it was BS award and they really werent that good. Then after the draft we heard how they wont mKe the roster... and on and on. I put little to no faith in our Rant player evaluations because of situations like this.
So now I will reserve judgement on these 2022 OLs until I see them play.

Did you see UCLA game last year? Team looked out of shape and overworked.

bullshite! That line won the Moore trophy as the best in college football. Three years later, looking at NFL results, you have to say they were indeed the best in college. Burrow made them look better just like they made Burrow look better. That was the greatest offense to ever lace them up, because they had a great QB, a very good running back, a great set of receivers, and a good tight end to along with an outstanding offensive line.

Ding Ding Ding... Best way to put it whose offense made the difference with the same players a year later. Burrow would have been awesome even in 2018 if they would have had Joe Brady. Ensminger was 2018 alone, and ZERO points against Bama. Joe Brady and those weapons we had made 2019 (In that offense's first year!)
