a DL advantage is huge tho. That's where games are won and lost. duquesene actually made some plays on FSU's OL but they couldn't tackle. I think FSU will try to run right at us early and realize that its not happening and have to pivot.

I don't think so. They didn't even run right at Duquenes. Their runs all hit off tackle with the option to cut back inside or bounce it depending on how the blocks shape up. The best attributes that their main RB (Ward) possesses is patience and quickness. He's calm and collected as he approaches the LOS and then explodes through a hole when he sees it.

The obvious counter for this is to have our DL beat their blocks and not give him the option to sit back there until a lane opens up.

I agree. Those are both huge advantages. Our DL can for sure control and dominate their offensive scheme. If they have to rely purely on Travis throwing the ball then they are in serious trouble. Duquesne's WR were open all day long, their QB just sucked. If our WR's get that open, as well it will be a long day for FSU.
