Obviously, Emery is out the first 2 games as of now. But what about when he returns?

Cain seems to have grabbed RB1 regardless, and has some good history as a starter already. Goodwin has tons of buzz from this camp. Played decent his freshman year.

Emery missed all year, missing 2 games, is a senior and hasn't panned out so far as planned. Like what we have seen from years passed here and there.

Just curious if he really comes back and steals snaps from Cain/Goodwin

It's not stealing if he earns them. If he doesn't, I doubt he'll get any.

Based on what coaches have said, I think Emery would be at least 1B or 2 in the pecking order. They seem really high on his potential and leadership

Emery will be RB1 when he can play.

Cain is a good player, but Emery can be a game changer

For as good as Emery is, I think Cain will get an enormous opportunity this weekend.

Frankly, I hope they split the workload this season, each taking about 40% of the reps. Keep each other fresh, push each other, etc.

Cain probably starts in Emery's absence. Williams will come in on 3rd down. Goodwin will get carries. Whoever is "hot" will probably get the bulk of the carries in the second half.

I think Goodwin is going to be 5x the RB that Cain is. Cain is going to be ole reliable, downhill guy, with no burst and little agility. He catches well and falls forward when tackles. He also will wear down a defensive front with his strength and size.

Great to have those guys get reps, but he isn't a game changer IMO.

The back that gets stronger through the game gets the most carries. We need a back that gets tougher to pound away then go with the slash and dash with AG and Emery. I think Cain is our TDP/CEH type back. Tough between the tackles.
