O got a reprieve a couple weeks later with a most improbable upset of SEC West champion Auburn, and went on to make 2017 a fairly decent year, after a most inauspicious start.

Miss St also had a bye week advantage before the LSU game and were fresh to start off that fourth quarter.

That game more than any other one in 2000, solidified LSU fans' admiration of Coach Saban.

I wouldn’t say so much as forgotten but definitely underrated because of how both teams finished the year is the 2015 Florida game

This was a shootout for a while similar to the ‘19 game

I believe this was the game Tom Cruise attended

Another one is the win over Arizona in 2006. A preview of what was gonna happen to Va Tech the following season

Yea, and Arizona was not a bad football team in 2006, finishing 6-6 (4-5 Pac-12).

Damn arky game that year still makes me mad. Could’ve been 3 peat sec champs.

If LSU had beaten Arky In 2002 Auburn would have gone to the SEC Championship game not LSU.

We would’ve gone had we beat Arkansas. Winner of that game was going to Atlanta. We would’ve finished 6-2 in sec play had we won. Auburn finished 5-3 with losses to Arkansas Florida and UGA.

1987 LSU Tulane

Tigers made a big comeback in the 4th Q to win a shootout in the Dome against Terrance Jones and Marc Zeno.

I WAS THERE with my father in the dome. he went to tulane and was ragging me out as they took the lead. we were in a bind. nacho was hurt and out. coutee was starting at C. williams got hurt and was taken out. Eddie fuller saved the day on that long run late. too close for comfort. jones and zeno were damn good players for tulane.

1987 LSU Tulane

That was a huge LSU win, and a really important one as well as a dramatic one. Tulane was a pretty good team that year under Mack Brown, and their fans were rocking after taking a 36-35 lead late. It was do-or-die for Tiger U. with on 90 seconds left, when Tommy Hodson delivered to Brian Kinchen on 4th and 7. Then Eddie Fuller scored on the next play from about 40 yards out to pull off the shaky win.

It was particularly satisfying coming after Harvey Williams' horrific injury earlier in the fourth quarter. Williams would miss the entire 1988 season and most of 1989 as well. He was never quite the same.

LSU went on to finish 10-1-1 in 1987 and ranked #5.

Funniest part of the whole game was Brian Bosworth was the in studio analyst. They were teasing the next week’s game which had Arizona playing someone else. Bosworth-“ Great, we get to watch this for another 4 hours next week.” Lol

2009 @ Georgia. Great game. The team wasn't great that season so it gets forgotten. That win set up a top 5 match up in Tiger Stadium against Tebow and Florida the very next week.

You are right I was wrong. Not sure why in my mind I always had Auburn was going if LSU had won.

Maybe that was my way of coping with the loss lol.

Nice choice. I was at that game too. Tiger Stadium was at its best that night.
