Also once in league 2 they can sign players from around the world and not limited like they are now.

The ESPN deal covers all of the EFL outside of the Premier League plus domestic cup competitions. Wrexham being popular in the states will give them priority over others, I would imagine its going to be rather easy to stream with ESPN+.

In the EFL they’re going to run up against:
1. FFP
2. Other rich owners attempting the same pump and dump they are
3. Clubs with much bigger followings than what they’re dealing with now.
I think they will probably be able to get out of League Two in a few years, League One is going to be a whole different animal. Notts County and Barnet are one thing, Ipswich and Portsmouth are something else.

Majority of their starters are from League 1 currently.

Yes I’m well aware they bought the league. Salford did the same and have stalled out in League Two. Lincoln City didn’t go straight to League One either.

Disagree most teams that get promoted from the National League do very well their first season in League 2 see stockport they have a chance to get promoted in year 1. A team like Wrexham has a 80% chance to get promoted next year to league 1 tbh. League 2 competition is not a big jump at all.

You've made that very clear with your post. Whether you like Wrexham or not the squad they will have next year will be better than the majority of League 2 and even League 1 sides. Teams get double promoted all the time, League 2 is no where near the level of League 1/Championship. So yeah I give them a 80% chance that's not crazy if you've ever watched a league 2 team play.
Grimsby and Stockport are both upper half League 2 teams this year and both played in the National League last year.

I already said I’m sure they will get out of league 2 in a few years. Could be 1, could be 3. I’d be surprised if it took longer than that. The headwinds I was referencing was for the EFL as a whole, not just League Two.

League 1 to EFL is more of the gauntlet that you are referring too. Thats where they will see the biggest growth challenge potentially against teams like Bolton, Portsmouth, Ipswich, Sheffield, Derby. Barnsley.

Which is why i said league 2 won’t be that big of a challenge and League 1 will be? I’m disagreeing with your point about it taking years in league 2 and agreeing with league 1. Defensive Daniel.

ESPN+ only has access to EFL games that Sky Sports broadcasts over in the UK, so the chances that you get to see Wrexham on there every week is pretty slim. Clubs in the EFL do have the option of streaming their matches, but going on what is found here it won't be cheap.

ESPN+ have renegotiated and extended that contract multiple times already. I'm sure they will add more games to the 150 they air per year already, its getting increasingly more popular.

Unlike the Premier League, the EFL doesn't have it's own production setup for international broadcast so the only games they offer through their international deals are the ones that Sky Sports shows and produces so there are no more games for ESPN to add to the contract.

If the doc is still filming, they would have the cameras and production crew to show the games. It’s how they’ve done a lot of the VNL games
