When you see the thievery of an election where corrupt politicians install imposters at positions of ultimate power. And when you see blatant misuse of taxpayer moneys for laundering to other countries or transferred to people who don’t deserve it,

Do you think it’s your moral obligation to pay your taxes? In other words, are you morally obligated to fund immoral leaders and immoral actions simply because pastors across the country have interpreted the verse reference in the title to mean we should blindly pay taxes regardless of motive?

You don’t need a pastor to interpret it, Jesus said it. The Roman government wasn’t exactly great to Jewish people when he said it. Money was a government creation so the government has dominion over it. Intentionally not paying what you owe would be stealing, which would prevent you from the unimaginable riches of eternal life in heaven.

That was the premise of the Tea Party. Those who have the authority to spend public funds need to be accountable to the taxpayers for every dollar spent.

Modern taxation is legalized armed robbery.

So, no, there is no moral obligation .

Sorry to derail, but this will ALWAYS remind me of the movie "Sgt. York".

Do you think this could be the reason the IRS just hired an army of agents with the contingency that they are willing to use deadly force?

They understand their treachery and they’re deliberately insuring themselves against the point you are making.
