So, because NOLA hosts football games, people who attend them should just give up all expectations of being safe while in the city? That's an interesting take.

No, but when you take advantage of the good the city has to offer but then come on TD and bash the city, even though you were safe and not a victim of a crime, you're a wuss.

My problem is many of you baws go to NO when you want certain things but then say the whole city should be blown up. And you came home safe. Nobody makes you go to a Saints game. Nobody makes you go to the LSU game in the dome. Baton Rouge has an airport, you don't have to fly out of MSY. But you do, then you say how bad the city is, even though the city just gave you something good.

That is an amazingly low bar to set. Congratulations.

Totally get what you are saying man, you are so right.

There’s this restaurant, you see. Started by an old man and his wife a long long time ago. He built a beautiful building, crafted amazing recipes, great music at the place.
And it was handed down in the family. Same building, same recipes. But man…let’s just say the man’s children didn’t choose the best spouses. And their children weren’t raised right.
A few kids turned out okay but the lot of them…well, Everything you love about this restaurant…

Now, you can still get good food here, if you are lucky.

Yeah, the building has fallen into disrepair. Yeah, you might get mugged in the parking lot. Or crash your car into a pothole. Or rain might come and flood everything.
But man, if you can get inside, you can find some great food!

Well, unless one of the shithead kids starts a fight and stabs someone, or if they start shooting across the street and a bullet comes in the window. Or if you get one of the dishes with rat shite and roaches in it.

But man, if you get one of the plates without shite in it, and avoid any misfortune, or being attacked…

Well, the new owner may still call you a piece of shite and let you know she hates you and threaten to shut down the restaurant because no one wants to work there anymore.

But if none of those bad things happen to you why cant you just be happy you got a good meal from the restaurant that was once great and stop complaining about all the things you don’t like?

This folks, is a classic case of Progressive conditioning.

This poster has learned to accept a VERY LOW bar for his city now that his team has flushed it down the toilet. Anyone else that does not adopt this mindset will be called out as such.

This is no different than the MSM getting everyone used to a terrible economy under Obama and now Biden as "the new normal".

What in the actual frick are you even babbling about? First of all, I never said anything about blowing up the city. And secondly, I’m supposed to praise New Orleans because I got to fly from there? And how exactly did they ‘give me’ that? You’re certainly jumping to a shitload of conclusions. There was a time that I loved New Orleans. I’ve grown up on the northshore and lived here my entire life except when I went to LSU. I’m 43. The fact is, whether you want to admit it or not, New Orleans is no longer a desirable destination. To posit that everyone should ignore issues because of football is completely asinine. This is honestly one of the strangest gripes I’ve seen on this board in a while. I observed a large group of people riding illegally on the interstate and you think I should have said “that’s incredibly dangerous and someone could get killed due to those people doing something illegal, but I just got to watch the Saints practice, so I’ll hold my tongue.”

The city gave, or he paid for an experience? Curious what the breakdown of the $ spent in NO comes from in city vs out of city? Don’t really see it as him taking advantage…
