One my best friends has been in the hospital since August 5th with West Nile Virus, he was transported to Baton Rouge General( Bluebonnet) from Glenwood in West Monroe, need all of the prayers that we can get. He has opened his eyes only a few times in the past two weeks. This stuff is bad.

My friend is still in St. Francis in Monroe but he is finally moving a lot better, had his first taste of real food yesterday. Still has the trac in his throat but hopefully it comes out this week, has a long road ahead of him but we might be able to get him back to at least half of what he was. Just wanted to update all of you that sent some great prayers. Thank You O.B.

Dang it. Prayers sent.

I spent the weekend on Toledo Bend, and had a couple of gnarly looking mosquito bites. I usually don't welp up like I did. I jokingly told my buddy I hope those aren't the West Nile mosquito bites.

Praying for your buddy to come through.

Thank you all, he fishes a lot in Ouachita Parish, I fish with him at least every other weekend. It’s scary to think about.

Dear Lord,

You are the one I turn to for help in moments of weakness and times of need. I ask you to be with your servant in this illness. Psalm 107:20 says that you send out your Word and heal. So then, please send your healing Word to your servant. In the name of Jesus, drive out all infirmity and sickness from his body.

Dear Lord, I ask you to turn this weakness into strength, this suffering into compassion, sorrow into joy, and pain into comfort for others. May your servant trust in your goodness and hope in your faithfulness, even in the middle of this suffering. Let him be filled with patience and joy in your presence as he waits for your healing touch.

Please restore your servant to full health, dear Father. Remove all fear and doubt from his heart by the power of your Holy Spirit, and may you, Lord, be glorified through his life.

As you heal and renew your servant, Lord, may he bless and praise you.

All of this, I pray in the name of Jesus Christ.

Amen.

He is 60, 6’4” 220lbs very active, can’t even sit long enough to watch a 30 show. It’s one the most heartbreaking things that ever seen, to us ( our close group) he is like Superman, strong as an ox and always going.
