I know several people who ride HD scooters and every one of them say they run the loud pipes and rev the engine at stop lights in order to make sure the cars and trucks around them are aware they’re there. Too many motorcycle riders get run over because they’re hit by drivers who don’t see them.

Mine doesn't seem to need it. Runs just fine without it.

Saw one just the other day.

Fat and unattractive like most women on Harleys.

They're more likely to be run over for being loud and obnoxious.

Loud pipes do not save lives, but they do kill one's hearing.

I don’t ride motorcycles but that’s what they say and it kinda makes sense to me. It’s annoying as hell and wish they would go with bright colors instead of black paint and black leather.

About bought this one but accepted the fact that I never had the time to really go ride. Always liked the sportsters.

Correct. Also applies to those that can’t operate a standard transmission vehicle. Males that are just ignorant of the manly world. I don’t blame women that don’t know how though.

HD owners: “I’m a rugged individualist, no one is going to tell me what to do, I dress up like a Village Person just like all my friends, and do exactly what they do.”

Potato, Tomato, Potato,….

915 CI Cummins X15 idols around 10 psi and you don’t have to rev the engine like an obnoxious a-hole. But most truckers do the same thing.

Last I checked the cams are in the bottom nosecone in Harley Twin Cam engines. Hence the push rod tubes going to the top on the right side of the engine.

well i'll never own a harley, too loud and vibrate too much, so thats news to me

i ride rice burners (mainly yamaha) and those have overhead cams. i need to bump the throttle a little at stop signs to prevent engine oil issues but its a few rpms, not like those idiots get on harleys wanting to rattle windows, thats completely unnecessary
