MMW, Galactic, Greyboy Allstars (and their side projects), Gov’t Mule, Ray’s Music Exchange, Lake Trout (when they were still a jam band), Deep Banana Blackout, Béla Fleck & The Flecktones, Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, The Slip, Schleigho. Strangefolk had some decent albums but they weren’t the jammiest of jam bands.
If you want to include jam bands that were around before the term jam bands was around like the Dead (if you want studio jams then go with Blues for Allah) then you should also include Frank Zappa and King Crimson.
Zero was pretty good. KVHW was better, they were awesome, but they never recorded in the studio. Many of their live bootlegs sound better than some bands’ studio albums.

I have several Zero master soundboards. Molly's in Boston, maybe '88? And the Agora in Hartford came out the best. The Hartford show we had taped George Thorogood at the civic center then barely got there for Zero to start. It was a late night.
Agree, love Zero.

Hard to believe they haven't been mentioned yet but The Allman Brothers Band put out a few great studio albums back in the day even if some of them were quasi live/studio mixes but in no particular order these 3
The Allman Brothers Band
Eat a Peach
Brothers and Sisters
are all great studio albums with great songs.
Fwiw...any band that creates Mountain Jam IS a jam band!
