I think we have a lot going for us, but it's a question of can the whole be greater than the sum of its parts. That is typically challenging to do in a coaching transition, especially when literally the entire program is new. The first 5 weeks can be critical for W/L, so I really think the FSU is the swing game of the year. Playing devil's advocate, much respect for Colby Richardson showing out in camp, but I could see a scenario 2-3 losses in where we say "man we should have known when Colby Richardson was getting the pub in camp over guys like Sevyn Banks." Put another way, if you heard A&M was having to start a North Texas transfer at corner, we'd probably be giddy at our WR running wild on them. Personally just going to enjoy this season for what it ends up being, confident in the fact that there has never been a more optimistic time to be an LSU fan given our leadership.

If the Oline pans out, and we can stay healthy it can be a really fun year.

I’m not sold on Colby yet, but my buddy coached at Mcnease. He told me Colby is an athlete. The primary reason for his star or lack of big time letters were because of the HS he went to. Maybe he didn’t do 7 on 7 stuff like that. Coach said that he put weight on that probably helped him be stronger. Still with all I’m guessing 8-4. LSU has athletes who can make the difference here and there.

The experts think LSU is the most unpredictable team in the league. Anywhere from 6-5 to 10-2

I mean if you have an elite front 7, and the guys don't blow coverages you're going to have an elite defense more times than not. Also if you have a good OL, with a playmaker at QB and at the skill positions, you're going to score points. I almost just want to throw the purple shades on, go full A&M for the rest of the offseason and say bring it, we're going undefeated. I'm excited for the FSU game, I think it will show us a lot about how far we have to go as a program.
