Call me crazy. But this could be a very good year. OL is much better. LSU has a running QB. The one thing that I think we will not know is if the Defensive Backfield can hold up. If they can LSU can make a run going into the Alabama game. Who would have thought LSU would have had 2 chances late to beat BAMA with last years team.

Not sure which game but LSU could be a 1 loss game going in to Alabama game. Crazy as this all sounds the passing of Miss St game could reveal a lot about this LSU team.

I think we have a lot going for us, but it's a question of can the whole be greater than the sum of its parts. That is typically challenging to do in a coaching transition, especially when literally the entire program is new. The first 5 weeks can be critical for W/L, so I really think the FSU is the swing game of the year. Playing devil's advocate, much respect for Colby Richardson showing out in camp, but I could see a scenario 2-3 losses in where we say "man we should have known when Colby Richardson was getting the pub in camp over guys like Sevyn Banks." Put another way, if you heard A&M was having to start a North Texas transfer at corner, we'd probably be giddy at our WR running wild on them. Personally just going to enjoy this season for what it ends up being, confident in the fact that there has never been a more optimistic time to be an LSU fan given our leadership.

Going based on the history that BK wins almost every game he's favored in that would mean only 3 losses to Auburn, Bama, and aTm. (according to FPI).

I think Auburn is gonna stink with Calzada/Finley this year so I can't see them being favored by the time that game comes around. A 10-2 season would be incredible but I'm still preparing for 8-4.

Could be. Could not be. Last year left me with a little PTSD so it's hard to be objective.

That said, if we finished with 9+ wins I will feel it was a successful first year for CBK.
