Last year we were two plays away from being 8-4 with a coaching staff full of inept individuals. Coaching staff was completely overhauled and we now have a top tier staff in the country. The talent along with the experience is there.

FSU W
Southern W
Miss St W
New Mexico W
Auburn W
Tennessee Toss up
Florida W
Ole Miss Toss up
Alabama L
Arkansas W
UAB W

I think for the first time in a very long while, LSU v Tennessee could be a ranked matchup.

Should be a fun game.

Coaching is better but we are really young/inexperienced/not very talented at a few positions. The offensive line and CBs still worry me despite what anyone says. The schedule is a little easier this year.

Not impossible but I see this as a 4 loss season. Going to be some growing pains but in 2-3 years this team is going to make lives miserable for other teams. My hopes this season is to beat down the aggies and my greedy wish is to beat bama. On the even more positive side is that Kelly has brought order and discipline to this team.

Things can only get better!

i believe this team will be very competitive and most, if not all, of our games will be close (SEC). while losing only two games is possible everything pretty much would have to go our way. we just have too much inexperience and i think we can easily lose 4 games.

Everything has to come together perfectly for that to happen. It can happen but it would be one hell of a story considering all the question marks on the team. If we run that BK should have best national coach of 2022 unquestionable.

More realistic projection is 7-8 wins. The media seems to be downplaying SEC this year but I think the west will be way more competitive than they're giving credit for. Nobody in the west will be an easy win for LSU.

At this point, to me, on paper, every SEC game is a toss up except for Bama. However, I think we have a better coach than everybody on our schedule

With all the hype this may seem more plausible. UT has to come play in Death Valley while a more than likely undefeated LSU football team, the stadium will be rocking. UF’s QB in Napier’s RPO system will give us fits and it’s in the swamp. UF will be LSU’s first real road test. Ole Miss is primed for a down year, no Corral. Bama is certainly circled for BK, obvious reasons. Wouldn’t be surprised if we pull off the upset. Arkansas can be a toss up for a tough road game following Bama. aTm will be a win.

8-4.

The 4 loses come from new QB and new system. Un-established O line. Not enough talent at DB and extra points.

if we stay healthy, and with a little luck, it’s possible. As someone said above, everything would have to line up perfectly

Y'all going to be surprised when a doormat team or projected doormat team like Auburn plays LSU down to the wire. The schedule itself doesn't support a 10 win season looking at historical wins. For whatever reason, Auburn alone will play LSU to the wire no matter how good they are looking at the historical wins there. Our schedule is brutal and Tenn might finally have a good team time will tell.

Wouldn't be so confident in Tenn coming off what's likely a physical and down to the wire Auburn game. That 6 game stretch is a gauntlet I can't see us surviving. Miss St. is a trap game because it's so early in the season with all the pieces still coming together. Fl State sets the tone for the entire season. You shite the bed there the season is over before it began.

I know people meme A&M but that will be a tough road game also. I was at the Bama/A&M game (my fiance is an Aggie), and the crowd noise definitely caused a few false starts that night. I hope you're right but that's definitely a toss-up game this year.

Love the optimism. But this is a 3-4 loss team. There were 39 scholarship players on this team just 8 months ago. New, unproven OL and QB. Teams will make LSU one-dimensional by shutting down the run, rolling safties to Boutte…too hard to win that way in the SEC.

If Daniels has consistency in the passing game I can't see them touching the run game like that. They'd have to respect his running ability which opens up the run game for the RBs by itself. Rolling shade over to Boutte isn't going to fly either considering how deep LSU is at WR. Someone else will just feast. Defenses are not going to have the luxury of blanket covering Boutte every play because LSU has too many weapons. That's the least of our concerns.

I don't disagree but if we lose four this board will go into overdrive with the amount of melts happening.

OK, you're crazy, but I love the optimism. Especially beating the ATM machine in College Station.

You sound as though playing down to the wire is an automatic loss.
