Congrats to our new CF Dubon on his 3-4 night!
Let’s hope we don’t manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory tonight

Dusty is making this team hard to watch.
Which sucks because they should be fun to watch.
Who rests tonight? Kopech is good against everyone, but lefties have a .716 OPS against him this season compared to .568 for righties, so I'm betting on Yed or Ted.

Don’t necessarily need it today, but would really really like to have it.
Sox got a very nice 1-2-3 in the rotation

I get the feeling Astros management is going to be scoreboard watching the Yankees for the next 6 weeks to see how much they can sit starters

FODB doesn’t need the Yankees to accomplish this

I'm pretty well maxed out on FODB content. We did 5 pages of it before the game yesterday. It's hard to keep saying the same things over and over on this guy.
I could add some FOAO content. That's frick Off Astros Offense. I feel like the last 2 games are a playoff preview. Excellent pitching pairings, the Astros offense scores a couple runs early and then coasts the rest of the way, shits on the few RISP opportunities they generate and end up wasting a strong pitching performance.
The offense has been my concern all year given our past playoff performances and inconsistencies all year combined with Dustys refusal to put together his best lineup. This offense despite its talent, just lacks the killer instincts of the past. Remember playing frick the closer? Not these guys.

Aside from inexplicably having Dubon in the lineup last night was just one of those games, and he was 3-4. Some pretty shitty batted ball luck on several occasions (both sides of the ball). Over the course of a long season it happens. Not nearly as frustrating as the night before

We need Yed to return to pre all star Break Yed.
He has several opportunities the last 2 nights and got nothing done
Pre: .306/.405/.653

A typical Yed AB the last 2 weeks
Swing and a miss on curve in the dirt 0-1
Fastball inside 1-1
Meaty Fastball in the zone fouled 1-2
Slider taken inside 2-2
Fastball in the zone, foul 2-2
Swing and a miss on curve in the dirt strikeout

It has been the same all year, the offense goes as Yed goes.
he needs a slumpbuster.

That's the real motto of the season. At any given time it seems we have at least one guy in a weeks long horrible slump. Bregman gets going, Tuckers bat contracts AIDS, Tucker gets going, Yed forgets everything he knows about hitting.
