re: Patrick Reed suing Brandel for defamation

I thought it was interesting that Alfalfa did the same thing the day before with an embedded ball. Except he didn't ask for a rules official and he didn't ask the observer if it bounced. He just looked at it and made the call it was embedded and relocated it and played on. Reed asked the official and ask the caddies playing with him did it bounce, and they said no.
The CBS rules official said he did more than what the rule book called for and twice as much as Alfalfa did with his embedded ball. The PGA official said they were completely satisfied with the way Patrick Reed handled it and also said he went beyond what he had to do to get relief.
CBS is the one who wanted to make a documentary out of it the next day. But when they showed Alfalfa doing exactly what Reed did except getting officials involved they simply said he deserves the benefit of the doubt. That, my friends, is bush league. Anytime a golf rule is set up to work at the player's discretion they all get the benefit of the doubt. Because it's their call to make.
To sum up, the PGA officials had no problem with it, the official who gets paid by CBS had no problem with it and both said Reed went beyond what Alfalfa did.
Jim Nantz did have a problem with it. Oh, the humanity.

I agree with this, I hardly watch the golf channel or its tv personalities. I know Patrick Reed is a cheater. The are several more like me who know he is a cheater without the influence of anyone else, just the things we saw him do.
This lawsuit makes him look like a sociopath, more than than cheating.

Do you mean all this bull shite actually has a rebuttal? Look at the tape einstein and you'll worry a lot less about me.

I guess Reed will also contend the golf channel edited the video above

Do you know the rules of golf? He had also grounded his club in multiple bunkers w/o saying anything. That is also against the rules of golf.
Not just any old accidental grounding, it was obvious he was removing the sand behind the ball to get a cleaner shot.

Play a video of the PGA official ruling and the CBS official. I'll wait right here.

Should Rory have had his ruling confirmed by his playing partner? Sure, I'll give you that.
But what you conveniently left out of your story is the spotter on the hole said she saw Reeds ball bounce. How can a ball be inbedded if it bounced? Couple that with his already well documented other rules infractions and it isn't the same. At all.
Edit: also let's not forget he has a reputation amongst players for thinking he can hit a wood out of the rough and then switches to an iron once he's matted down the grass to improve his lie

Did I say a word about the sandtrap? I said many words and made many claims about the embedded ball. Prove I'm wrong.

Proven. Wrong.

The rules officials let the players do whatever the hell they want. You got guys dropping 50 yards in front of where their ball crossed a hazard line almost every week. Hell, they play lift clean and place on Thursday if there is a 30% chance of rain of Friday

Reed knew his ball ball bounced because the spotter told him. He didn’t give a shite. He then asked a rules official knowing the rules official couldn’t do anything and it would give him cover for idiots who will say “HE ASKED A RULES OFFICIAL!!!”

No, she didn't. He immediately asks the spotter did she see it bounce. She said no. He then repeated to his caddie she didn't see it bounce. The narrator of the video then repeats she didn't see it bounce.

Actually, this is exactly how it went
Reed
“Did you see it bounce”
Spotter
“No I didn’t see it
Reed
“Guys she said she didn’t see it bounce “
That little c.unt Reed acting like she confirmed it didn’t bounce
She in no way confirming it didn’t bounce, as Reed tried to act

Why would you "give me that"? He didn't have to call anyone in. It was his call to make. CBS made such a fuss about Reed that Alfalfa said out loud, now I'm wondering if I handled it correctly. I didn't do as much as Reed did.
The PGA and CBS officials readily said that Reed when beyond what was asked of him in that situation.

What did you want Reed to do in that situation? Put her under a lie detector?
It was his call to make. He didn't have to ask her anything. He did anyway. Alfalfa chose not to.
